🌱 Tech Innovators and Smart Farming for Future Leaders (TISFuL Project 2025)
Empowering the Next Generation of Agricultural Innovators
The TISFuL Project 2025, is an ongoing project led by SocietalLens Design and Research Initiative in partnership with PlowAfrika, is an inspiring movement to reshape agricultural education in Nigeria.
Targeting secondary schools in Kano and Kaduna, this forward-thinking project equips students with hands-on skills in smart and urban agriculture, merging technology with farming to spark innovation. Through the creation of Junior Engineers and Technicians (JET) clubs, students will explore climate-smart practices, experiment with modern techniques like hydroponics and sack farming, and build real solutions for today’s agricultural challenges.
With mentorship, access to quality inputs, and dynamic training, TISFuL empowers students to be leaders in food security, innovation, and sustainability. It’s more than just farming it’s a transformation in how young Nigerians learn, lead, and shape the future.
🌿 Innovation. Action. Impact.
Join us as we cultivate a smarter, greener tomorrow one student at a time.
🌍 Rural Climate Resilience Awareness Campaign (R-CRAC 2025)
Building Smarter, Safer Communities in the Face of Climate Change
As climate unpredictability intensifies, rural communities remain some of the most vulnerable. The R-CRAC 2025, led by SocietalLens Initiative in collaboration with local partners, is a strategic campaign to help these communities adapt and thrive.
This initiative targets climate-sensitive regions in Nigeria, aligning closely with the growing season and major weather events. Through engaging community outreach, practical farmer trainings, and early warning system support, R-CRAC is turning information into action.
The project empowers local leaders, trains farmers in climate-smart agriculture, and strengthens disaster preparedness systems all while promoting long-term resilience planning at the local government level.
🔍 Awareness. Preparedness. Resilience.
Together, we’re planting the seeds of adaptation so rural Nigeria can weather tomorrow’s storms, today.
♻️ Clean Energy. Greener Farms. Healthier Communities.
Promoting Biodigester Technology for Sustainable Energy & Agriculture
In rural Kano and Kaduna States, where firewood is still the primary source of energy, the environment and public health are at risk. The SocietalLens Design and Research Initiative is leading a groundbreaking solution introducing 1000 biodigesters to dairy farming households by 2027.
This project transforms everyday cow dung into clean, renewable biogas for cooking, cutting household dependence on firewood by over 80% and drastically reducing indoor air pollution. The initiative not only fights deforestation and carbon emissions but also improves livelihoods and gender equity, as women and youth are trained in the installation and use of biodigesters.
Plus, the byproduct organic slurry boosts crop yields and soil health, turning waste into wealth for smallholder farmers. With a focus on climate resilience, local empowerment, and sustainable agriculture, this project is building a new energy future from the grassroots.
🌿 Energy. Agriculture. Sustainability.
Together, we’re fueling change one household, one farm, one biodigester at a time.
